100 Miles and riding...
Goal reached! Think is ended up being somewhere between 105 and 110 actually. Next stop 125 and so on and so on.

And the culprit is.....
In my ongoing quest in self improvement, I have decided to bite the
bullet and go back to school. Never have I been a "fan" of the whole
system but It's about that time. I must continue learning and in this
day and age it never hurts to have a backup plan. Whether it be
networking or computer science I know it's something I will enjoy
learning and be able to either apply to my job now or somewhere down
the road. So in my pursuit of knowledge and the fact I still have a
full time gig, it was time to wake up a little earlier then usual and
head to the school. Now it wasn't the best of mornings, a heavy rain
last night was sure to have the insides of the Jeep soaked plus there
was a heavy overcast which had me convinced it was going to rain
again, which if you ever drove a Jeep with no windows, it would
probably leave me soaked. Definitely not the most comfortable way to
be when you are filling out form after form and dealing with this
"system," which in a lot of ways, I am very ignorant to. So I get
dressed and check out the Jeep. Surprisingly it wasn't too bad so
that was good. I did notice a sound like a blinker which made no
sense at all. (The last time the Jeep had been driven was Monday and
I'm sure we would've noticed something since then). Come to find out
the hazards were on which was even stranger. My first thought was
some kids were in the neighborhood and were playing around. Nothing
else was touched though. I know when I was a kid I wasn't gonna mess
with someone else's belongings without trying to get something out of
it. My second thought was a cat since they are all over the
neighborhood. For some strange reason people take them to be spayed
and neutered just to re-release them in the wild. Doesn't make sense
to me but oh well. So I get all my things in order and head out.
Turn the key and it was nothing but clicking, then the engine wouldn't
turn over to save my life. "Fuck me" was the first thing to pop in my
head. Right when I get ready to make a positive move in life some
dumb shit like this happens. Not to say that I couldn't do it another
day but I wanted to get this done and had already made the time
available from work to do so. Knowing I had to be back at work I
couldn't wait for this. At this point I just had to keep a level
head. Decide to call Ivan to ask for some jumper cables. No go, but
he did have a unit that should jump the car. It was really small and
I wasn't convinced but had to give it a try. Hook it all up and
nothing...Just more clicking. "Stay cool Drew" was all I could think.
Working in studios over the passed 10 years has made me pretty
resourceful so I just had to think it out. Good thing I'm a pretty
nice guy and talk to a lot of people around the neighborhood. I saw
the guy who does maintenence a couple houses down and decided to ask
for jumper cables. Turned out he had a set in his car and was more
then happy to come over and give me a jump. At first it was a no-go,
the battery was really dead. We decide to give it 15 minutes just to
sit and charge. After a couple tries, success! It was such a relief.
I HAD to ask this guy's name since I always see him and for helping it
would be nice to refer to him on a first name basis. Turns out the
guy's name is Smokey. Not his government name, but like he said
"everybody calls me Smokey". Can't wait to yell out "Whaddup
Smokey!!" Now I was running an hour behind, but it was better then not going at
all. Lord knows all I was thinking when the car wouldn't start was I
need to go riding but kept a cool head and got everything I needed to
get done. Next stop the local college. I'm sure there will be A LOT
more to write about once this chapter starts. Oh yeah. Luckily for us we have some cameras setup and this is what
we found. I love animals, but fucking cat!! Peace all!

Why I loathe The Ohio State University
Well here I am. Weekend in Ohio to get out of Miami and take care of some personal things and it happens to be during Ohio State's biggest game of the season. Right now we're about an hour outside the belly of the beast, Columbus OH., to visit my sister and family. We were just at a rest stop and everywhere I looked there was Ohio State jersey's. Now I've been twittering about wanting to rock an OJ Simpson jersey USC jersey on High Street and I mean it.
Not quite sure why I don't like that team. I vaguely remember cheering for them as a kid. But now that I look back at it, a local football star named Raymont Harris played for them so that was my excuse then. Also my sister attended college there. Always had fun as a kid/teen hanging out in Columbus on north High St. at some arcade called the Flamingo. First time playing Mortal Kombat was there matter of fact. But as I've gotten older my distaste for that school and team has grown in exponential levels. Is it just because everyone here likes em or is borderline obsessed with them? I mean there are flags, banners, shirts, stickers, everything. Most of which is displayed by people who didn't go there or let alone have a college education mind you..Maybe it's the whole "spending millions of dollars to be called The Ohio State University? Maybe it was the time I spent all around Michigan as a kid and the fact my father taught at Michigan State. Maybe it's because I will always have a grudge against the state of Ohio??? (That's a future blog post.)
Now I understand they are the only team in Ohio that somewhat wins on a consistent basis but there are a shitload of colleges in Ohio. Root for another team (Columbus residents get a pass on this one.) Mountain union had a 3 season win streak, yeah they are divison 2 or 3 but still. How about Kent State, BGSU, Toledo, Akron. I guess at the end of the day I just really don't like the team and If I don't like something I REALLY don't like something.
Now I'm not really a writer but I had to get this off my chest. Take it how you want and hope this offers some insight to the mind of DrewTek.
